The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism’s eighth annual Future Is Now: Legal Services conference will explore how lawyers can innovate in their practices while adhering to the ethical guidelines outlined in the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Conference speakers will explore topics like civility, legal technology and AI, access to justice, well-being, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and more. The Future Is Now will expose attendees to new and valuable perspectives on the modern practice of law from prominent national speakers, while equipping them with practical strategies to respond to incivility and promote public confidence in the legal profession.

WHAT: A two-day (September 19 & 20) in-person national conference for lawyers, judges, clerks of court and court administrators, self-help services professionals, librarians, technologists, funders and other allied professionals to explore and develop successful strategies and new thinking for providing 100% access to justice.

SOLID is a TED-STYLE Talk summit focused on innovation and the business of law. Did you ever listen to a great SOLID Talk or panel and wish you had time to engage and brainstorm in real time on how to apply those ideas to your business? 16+ speakers will give TED-STYLE talks around the intersection of innovation, advanced technology, and the business of law. They share what they are doing, how they are doing it, and the business impact it has.
Our talks are followed by facilitated table talks, sprint panels, and town hall discussions, whereby participants discuss what they know now that they did not know before the session started and how to apply these lessons to their own organizations. SOLID provides participants with maximum interaction with peers and colleagues in a round table, workshop environment to assess current challenges and design concrete solutions.
